Chandra is originally from Santa Cruz, California but received her bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts from the University of Texas at Austin and Concordia College. After graduation, she immediately launched her own writing and editing company and spent the next twenty years freelance writing articles and authoring nonfiction books, all while working as a staff writer for a law firm. Chandra lived in England and travelled abroad for several years before returning to sunnier climes in San Diego with a desire to teach English as a Second Language. She got her Master’s of Arts in Education in TESOL at Alliant International University and currently teaches academic reading, writing, and grammar at the University of San Diego and Cuyamaca College. When she’s not teaching or tutoring, Chandra is usually reading more than one book at a time, cuddling with her pet rabbit, cooking vegetarian food, or knitting socks for charity.
