Brenda grew up in San Diego and graduated from Harvard in 2012, where she majored in Neurobiology and won awards for her work in technical theater. She also received grants to conduct immunotherapy research (Harvard College Research Program), to implement public health initiatives in Mexico and Peru (The David Rockefeller Center for Latin American Studies), and to walk the Camino de Santiago (Henry Russell Shaw Traveling Fellowship). Next fall, Brenda will be attending the Keck School of Medicine of USC as a Jack Kent Cooke Foundation Graduate Scholar. Currently, Brenda enjoys learning to sail, watching Harvard beat Yale in the annual football game, and working with students at HCC.
