Alison Mehrman (Leonard) earned her Master of Science in Public Relations from Boston University’s College of Communication. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts in English and Psychology with a minor in Public and Professional Writing from Merrimack College, where she graduated as the first-ranking student in humanities. During both her graduate and undergraduate careers, she served as writing tutor, working one-on-one with students to advance their writing. In addition, she worked as teaching assistant for BU’s introductory-level communication course, leading discussion sections of 20-plus students and grading their essays and exams. As a writer and public relations professional, Mehrman enjoys storytelling above all else. A former competitive baton twirler and Merrimack College’s first feature twirler, she also hopes to one day earn her judge’s license and coach future twirlers. In her spare time, she enjoys Italian cooking and exploring San Diego.
